I’ve always loved everything tribal, especially in the warm weather. Here are some of my favorite tribal pieces for spring/summer 2013…
1. BB Dakota tee 2. Steve Madden Bag 3. House of Harlow Bangle 4. 12th St. By Cynthia Vincent Wedge 5. Antik Batik necklace 6. MinkPink shorts 7. BB Dakota Blouse 8. WildFox Dress 9. Rebecca Minkoff Gladiator 10. Chan Luu Beaded Bracelet 11. Rebecca Minkoff Flats
When wearing these prints, let the tribal print piece be your statement! Mix tribal style jewelry to tie in whatever tribal print piece of clothing you wear. DON’T however, mix multiple tribal prints within one outfit–too much going on! Pair tribal clothing with solids…for example, try a plain cropped neon tee and the Antik Batik necklace with the Tribal MinkPink shorts and a basic black gladiator.
Some stars know what they like and stick to it…I’ve counted close to twenty different Balenciagas on Nicole Richie…She also loves to accessorize with her Alexander Mcqueen scarves…
If you could, what accessory would you get in EVERY color?
I’m thinking I’d go with Alexander Wang handbags…or maybe Celine…How about both?
1. Black Milly Drape Leather 2. Jimmy Choo Gold Point toe 3. Chloe Dress 4. Raoul White Shorts 5. IRO Tshirt 6. Rebecca Minkoff Owen Clutch 7. Ash Sneaker 8. Rails Black Shorts 9. Jimmy Choo Sandal
Check out all of this holey goodness for spring. Some great pieces to add some texture to any outfit. Whether dressed up or down, try one of these perforated pieces to spice up your look.
It was supposed to be rain. So, imagine my surprise when I awoke to a nor’easter outside of my window. I stayed in bed, dreading waking up to hours upon hours of the news replaying snowy images on EVERY one of my non-cable channels. If I want to know the weather, I can look outside!!! I don’t need to watch the television to figure it out. But, enough of my bitter rants…I got to thinking, if i ever leave my house today, what will I wear?
I pictured myself walking around the city in my favorite snowy trend:
I don’t mind me a good slouchy beanie in any weather, but these looks are snow fab-o-lous. I mean, throwing on a beanie makes you instantly an effortlessly chic badass. So therefore my favorite winter uniform=a beanie (clearly) a slouchy sweater/drapey coat, leggings/skinnies, boots, crossbody and shades (to take it up a notch try a fun crimson lip, such as my winter fave, Mac Diva). Check out the looks above for inspiration! Try a patterned, embellished or flourescent beanie to mix things up a bit….florals and bold colors transition perfectly into spring ! Now you are ready to glam it up in the dreariness that is New England. If you can’t leave your house, like me, get on that world wide web and snatch yourself up one of these adorable beanies!
As a newly 27-year-old, college grad, personal stylist…I’m still not too sure what I want to do with my life. What are my two favorite things? Fashion and Food. So I thought, why not make a blog? In this blog, I will share my self-proclaimed grungy/boho/chic.without.looking.like.I’m.trying.style, fashion faves, my favorite places to eat in and around Boston and random other tidbits that I hope you guys will find intriguing.
